High value, high quality for our American family of 4
Booked with LiveAboard, very helpful agency during booking process. The Monserrat cruise itself (Itinerary D) exceeded our expectations. Everything from the efficient and professional crew, the frequent cabin service, the abundant meals and snacks, the quality of the excursions, and the expertise and extreme patience of our guides Javier and Karem was top notch. The cruise was an excellent value compared to the MANY others we researched, and was VERY high quality. The cabins are clean, the vessel is well maintained, the service was superb. We traveled during spring break w our 2 sons, ages 16 and 12 in 2 seperate cabins. (Literally my ONLY minor complaint is that our rooms were not next to each other as promised). Otherwise, we would highly recommend this vacation for families and couples and even solo travelers, all ages and skill levels were accommodated. Unforgettable Family Cruise
Our five day Galapagos cruise on the Montserrat was just plain amazing. It felt like we were in another world. Excellent staff, personal attention, good equipment & caring guides who shared their knowledge & passion for this environment & its unique forms of life made the trip a success for our multigenerational family. Seeing sharks & sea lions hunting beside the boat at night and the next morning swimming beside them, plus sea turtles, rays, marine iguanas, pelicans, flightless cormorants, even penguins. Add the warm drinks waiting after snorkeling…unforgettable. Hikes on land were full of new species for us, too. Rest up—you will be very busy! But every minute will be worth it.

Galapagos - a magical trip!
My husband and I just got back from the A+B itinerary on the Monserrat. We had the best time. Our Naturalists: Yasmany(A), Javier(A+B), and Karem(B) were amazing. We learned so much about the wildlife and islands. They really did a great job of making sure everyone saw all the wildlife they wanted to see (on land and in the water). We did multiple excursions a day. A great mix of snorkeling, hiking/walking, dingy rides, and kayaking. Food was great and we were never hungry. The crew was amazing. Really went above and beyond every single day! A boat tour is definitely the way to go in the Galapagos! 100% recommend and would go back in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful 4 days on the Monserrat! We really appreciated having 2 naturalists for 16 guests. The activities were great and well planned. The only thing is to please double check dietary restrictions, everything else was wonderful including the food and staff!

If looking to book a cruise we highly recommend staying away from Monserrat Cruise. We found the food to be terrible. It was tasteless and never served hot. I have kidney cancer and requested juice and snacks throughout the day and was told that wasn’t possible. Water, soda and alcoholic beverages were available. Snacks are only available immediately after an excursion and not through the day. We were anchored for six hours during an afternoon and requested to use the kayaks and paddle boards that they advertise as being available and were told we couldn’t use them. When we inquired as to why we were told it was a restricted area but passengers on another ship anchored near by were kayaking. There isn’t anything to do during the LONG stretches of time that you’re not snorkeling or on shore. The cabins are subpar and cramped compared to many other boats we have experienced. We had requested to eat meals on the upper deck that is prominently shown in their advertisements and were told that they don’t allow that. GALAPAGOS ISLANDS A+B extraordinary experience
I joined the A+B 9day trip with a friend. We have our own room without single supplement. The price is reasonable. We were well taken care by the tour guides and the crews. 16 people on the ship with 9 crew members & 2 tour guides. Two excursion activities in the morning and afternoon, in between with a long break before and after lunch. Free wifi for use on the ship though the reception was better at the common area. Snokerlling & hiking were the major activities. The guides ensure everyone got good experience with the activities, e.g. teach beginner how to do snokerling, We had 3 meals and post activities snacks daily. They were set meals with minimal options. The service was excellent with personal touch & individual attention from our guides Javier and Karem! Crew team Eleanor, Ronald and the cullinerary team. They have enriched the trip experience! It will be better if a hand sanitization area is available on the main deck with food/drink being served. A Great 8 day Cruise
A wonderful cruise with excellent food and service. A good mix of walking, snorkeling and kayaking. Our guide Diego was very enthusiastic and keen to share his knowledge. He made a really good video of pictures he had taken during the trip for us. The front of house, cooks , housekeeper and boat crew were all very friendly and very efficient in their roles adding to a great experience. El personal fue muy profesional, pero el barco necesita que lo fumiguen, estaba lleno de cucarachas. Camarotes muy pequeños e incómodos. Muchos equipos de snorkel (trajes) estaban rotos. El barco no vale lo caro que cuesta.
