Lima City Tour
Breakfast at hotel. You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to a local fresh produce market in order to start the tour. During the visit to the local market, you will have the chance to see the ingredients used to prepare Peru’s most traditional dishes and also you will be able to try some of its unique native fruits. We will then head towards a renowned Peruvian restaurant for Lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on a city tour of colonial Lima. This tour includes the main square where the Government Palace, the Cathedral, and the Municipal Palace are found. Also a visit to San Francisco Monastery and Casa Aliaga is included.

After breakfast, transfer to Lima’s airport for flight to Puerto Maldonado. Arrive into Puerto Maldonado Airport. Enjoy a -45minute boat ride to Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica jungle lodge. Glide in a wooden canoe across glassy Lake Sandoval. Appreciate the vastness of the Amazon by scaling the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway and follow the Anaconda Walk over mysterious wetlands.

Discover exotic fruits on Gamitana Farm and paddle along Gamitana Creek. Learn about the myriad of uses for the Amazon’s flora at Hacienda Concepcion. Observe secret jungle activity following the Rainforest by Night trail under the cover of darkness.

Set off by boat from your riverside lodge, visiting a Butterfly House before your departure flight to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco and transfer to the Sacred Valley. Afternoon free to acclimatize to the altitude.

Breakfast at hotel. The first port of call this morning is the picturesque town of Pisaq which is famous for its local crafts market. In this market one has the opportunity to haggle with the local vendors. We will have a special outdoors VIP lunch experience overlooking the Andes. Our journey then proceeds to Ollantaytambo where you will admire and awe at this majestic fortress.

DAY 8
Maras & Moray by ATV
Maras & Moray by ATV / Outdoor Lunch Experience
Breakfast at hotel. Today we want you to take control of your experience. We will be driving ATVs from Maras to Moray going through back rural roads with breathtaking views of the Andes. You will have the company of a private guide and safety recommendations will be given before the tour stars. The experience includes private guidance of Maras. This complex consists of a large number of terraces where salt is collected by the evaporation of water that comes out of an underground stream. We will also visit Moray which experts believe is a unique place that served for agricultural experiments. It consists of several impressive symmetrical and circular terraces that create a singular depression in the earth.
To reward your sense of adventure, we will treat you to a special outdoors VIP lunch experience overlooking the Andes.

DAY 9
Km 82–(Inca Trail)
Km 82 – Wayllabamba – Yuncachimpa (Inca Trail)
After breakfast, we will start our Inca Trail adventure. After crossing the Rio Urubamba (2200m) we will start the legendary Inca Trail. The first day the trail is easy to walk and a good warm up for the following days. In Miskay, we’ll have lunch at a small river bank while getting some information about the archeological complex of Llactapata. After that, we will continue our hike to Wayllabamba (3100m/10170f) and ascend to Yuncachimpa (3300m/10826f), the camping site we will spend the night in. From here, we have a great view of the mysterious Nevado de Verónica.

DAY 10
Yuncachimpa
Yuncachimpa – Llulluchapampa – Warmihuañusca pass – Pacaymayu – Runkurakay pass – Chaquicocha
Early in the morning the trail first leads through the Valley of Llulluchapampa (3850m/12631f). The first 3km are steep. You can enjoy the humid woodlands and the water sounds around you. From Llulluchapampa, you will follow the trail for 2-3 hours until you reach the highest point of this section, the Warmihuañusca Pass (Dead Woman Pass) (4200m/113780f). This climb is known as the most difficult part of the Inca Trail. After a short break at the summit, you continue your hike down with a long and steep descent to the river Pacaymayo (Sunrise River) towards the Runkurakay pass (3050m/10007f) until you reach our camping site called Chaquicocha at (3650m/11975f). Here you can relax your body from the tough day while enjoying an amazing view over the mountains.

DAY 11
Chaquicocha
Chaquicocha – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñayhuayna
The third day is the most beautiful one. You can notice a change in the eco-system while walking to the tropical forest of Wiñaywayna. We will pass two small lakes at the top of the second pass (3950m). It’s a gentle climb through beautiful cloud forests and a small Inca tunnel before the third pass. (3700m). This pass offers a great view over the Rio Urubamba Valley. The nearest settlement is named Phuyupatamarca/”Town above the clouds” (3600m/11811f). A well preserved site with long chain Inca baths where one can enjoy impressive ancient engineering. We pass another Inca Tunnel before visiting the ruins of Wiñaywayna/”Forever young” (2650m/8694f). The Inca stairs change into a zigzag trail until you reach a red-roofed white building, our last camping site, and also a location with hot water (S5) and bottled drinks.

DAY 12
Wiñayhuayna
Wiñayhuayna – Machu Picchu – Cusco
After our breakfast at 4:30 am, we will head – equipped with our flashlights – to the Inti Punku (Sun Gate) to get the first glimpse of Machu Picchu and watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu. The last triumphal descent will take you almost one hour before we visit the citadel of Machu Picchu (2400m//7874f) around 8.00 am. You can enjoy its spiritual charm during a guided tour (about two hours) that helps you to understand the meaning and ancient use of the different buildings.

Breakfast at hotel. Morning free to explore Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. On the afternoon depart by train back to Cusco.

DAY 14
Cusco
Cusco / City Tour & Four Ruins
Breakfast at hotel. We will begin visiting the Koricancha, a wonderful Ceremonial construction built during the Incas heydays. Afterwards we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco. At the Cathedral visitors may see beautiful old paintings, including the famous painting, of the Last Supper, showing Christ and the apostles about to dine on guinea pig. Later on, we will drive to the northern outskirts of Cusco, towards the Inca building such as Sacsayhuaman.
Here we will walk through huge Inca walls, built with massive rocks weighing up to 130 tons, well fitted, with absolute perfection. Then, we will move onto another important Inca site known as Qenqo, a strange place with subterranean passages, hiding in its interior perfect carved stones where the Incas probably mummify their deads. To finish off our City tour, we will drive further up to visit the Inca Baths of Tambomachay and the military lookout point of Pucapucara. and finally back to Cusco.
